Greatness can't be outsourced.
We start with premium fabric. The same stuff $200+ gis use.
This starting point is quite important. It's almost like making a fine dining dish. If you don't start with the most high quality ingredients available, your taste buds are not going to fall in love with it. We want you to have the same experience with your gi.
Read our customer stories and you'll see that in almost each of them, people talk about our fabric.
Next, we play a high-stakes game of trace-the-template. One wrong move and your gi might end up fitting like a potato sack.
But our artisans? They've got hands steadier than a surgeon.
Over the years, our artisans have figured out what works, what doesn't. We have spent a lot of time polishing the details on these patterns so we can offer fitting for almost any body type.
Our cutting machine doesn't just cut. It sculpts. Every slice is deliberate. Every curve intentional.
We don't just slap on a logo. We weave our identity into every gi. It's not decoration, it's a badge of honor. If you pay close attention to our logo, you'd notice it's duo-colored. It almost as if the circular top part is leaving a shadow below. Details matter.
This is where gi parts become a whole. Expert hands guide each piece. This is the most time consuming part of the process.
It's like a symphony. And feels magical because suddenly a piece of cloth starts taking shape of a gi that you'll be training in for years.
This is the part of the gi inside the jacket that stands out quite a lot. But only when you are about to wear your jacket, almost as if greeting you every time you are about to wear it. And for the rest of the world, it sits calmly in the background, letting you do your job.
This is added to give you mobility and a better range of motion.
So you can move freely and train easily.
The fusion of foam and fabric. The foam is what gives the label it's signature shape and feel. And it helps it retain its shape.
The fabric part used for the lapel is similar to what's used for the trousers and wrapped around the foam part. Stitched at the ends so it can move on to stitching the entire part.
Take a look at this video. It's quite a technical step because the artisan has to fold the fabric around the lapel as the stitching machine glides through it. You stitch the fabric around the form, adjust the lapel, cover some more length and keep going.
The signature lining you are used to seeing on a gi jacket.
Where others see stress points, we see opportunities. To strengthen. To reinforce. To excel. Because a gi is only as good as its weakest point.
The last step, but far from the least. We scrutinize. We perfect.
While most of the other steps add something to the gi, this one is about reducing. Taking away extra bits and pieces. Cutting off those loose threads, polishing it, ironing it, making sure it's good to be handed of to its new owner.
The only way you can truly appreciate our gis is in-person. We can describe how soft the fabric feels but that only make senses when you touch it.
All those tiny details we have worked out will stand out even more as you train in it. And once you train in it, and the fit is right, you'll make space for our gis in your wardrobe. Anyways, that's what most of our customers do.
Can't wait to see you train in an All Around gi.
